
Stepanakert, Artsakh — On July 2025, 4, humanitarian and recovery operations continue in Artsakh with the support of a number of international and local organizations.
Over the past week, several charitable groups have visited Artsakh, including specialists in the healthcare, educational, and socio-cultural sectors, who have organized free medical services, training courses for children, and humanitarian distributions in remote villages.
Healthcare support: a priority
According to representatives of the "Benevolent Armenia" Foundation, around 500 medical examinations were conducted in Stepanakert and neighboring communities, mainly among the elderly and children. Medical specialists provided medication, vaccinations, and rehabilitation advice.
"The residents of Artsakh continue to struggle for the restoration of peaceful life, and we are here to help on that path," said Dr. Lilit Meliksetyan.
Educational programs: summer schools
Local schools operate summer education centers where children learn Armenian language, history, art, and science. Some courses are also organized in nature, contributing to education and psychological recovery.
Children from Stepanakert, Martakert, and Askeran regions participated in the courses. The educational initiative implements the "Transition to the Future" educational program with the support of the Diaspora.
Reconstruction work, step by step
In recent months, renovation work on some rural houses has resumed. Construction materials are provided by charitable organizations, and the work is carried out by volunteers, mainly residents of Artsakh.
12 houses have already been renovated in the communities of Machkalashen, Khndzoresk, and Taghavard. Along with the houses, schools, water supply systems, and cultural centers are also being renovated.
International response
According to the UN Humanitarian Office, Artsakh remains under a special control zone. The organization reported progress in accessing humanitarian assistance and urged all parties to ensure the return of displaced people.
